Michael G. Rhodes has been recognized as a leading trial lawyer for innovators and disruptors.  He served as the Global Chair of Cooley LLP’s Litigation Department and cyber / data / privacy practice group. He also served on Cooley’s Management Committee.  Notable clients included Google, Meta, Open AI, the Kardashian-Jenner family, Justin and Hailey Bieber, Noom, Zoom, Plaid, Coinbase, the Golden State Warriors, Niantic (PokémonGo), and Turo.

Mike was a trusted trial lawyer for Meta (Facebook), having led and won three IP jury trials and settling another during trial but before a verdict. Mike also led and won the high profile celebrity jury trial involving claims of defamation brought by Angela White (aka Blac Chyna) against the Kardashian-Jenner family.

After 40 years in practice, Mike retired as a senior partner from Cooley at the end of 2024.  During his career, he received many accolades, including:
