Danielle Menitove is an independent arbitrator and mediator with experience in commercial and consumer disputes. She has particular expertise in complex sports-related disputes concerning antitrust, employment, intellectual property, gambling, anti-doping, player-agent issues, and other business and commercial matters.

Before transitioning to a full-time ADR practice, Danielle was a litigator for more than ten years at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York. At Skadden, Danielle represented entities and individuals in all phases of complex litigation in federal and state court, as well as in foreign and domestic government investigations and other advisory matters. Danielle’s practice involved a myriad of diverse matters, including antitrust, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of non-compete agreements, and unfair competition claims.

In her sports practice, Danielle represented professional and amateur sports organizations, such as the PGA TOUR, National Football League, National Basketball Association, National Hockey League, Major League Baseball, and National Collegiate Athletic Association. In addition, she frequently served as the clerk to arbitration panels resolving domestic and international sports- related disputes, including commercial and business disputes, employment matters, eligibility issues, and matters involving the interpretation of sport organizations’ rules.

Danielle received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Western Ontario, with a specialization in kinesiology. She graduated summa cum laude from Tulane University Law School, where she served as an editor of the Tulane Law Review and received a certificate of specialization in sports law. Following her graduation, Danielle clerked for the Honorable Sarah S. Vance in the Eastern District of Louisiana. She is admitted to the New York State Bar.

In 2023, Danielle was selected for the American Arbitration Association’s Higginbotham Fellows Program.  She currently serves as chair of the Sports ADR committee of the New York State Bar Association’s Dispute Resolution Section.
